Het motto was ‘Touch not the cat but a glove’ (in Gaelic, “Na bean don chat gun lamhainn”.)

The left badge is from the Royal Scots and the right one probably came from the MacPherson clan. All members of the clan who fought in the war wore it. The inscription says; Touch not the cat but a glove’ (in Gaelic, “Na bean don chat gun lamhainn”.) What this had to to with the grandfather we don’t know. This division probably fought in Holland as well.
